Game Maker always was a weird comfort zone for me. I used to spend a ton of time making weird 20-minute-ish games in an afternoon when I got an offbrand CD with game-making software when I was little. While I never bothered to step outside that boundary of game, I still thought about it a lot and recently I started to ponder why not try an experiment. This project started about like, 3 or 4 months ago and honestly I feel excited to show off what I worked on so far.
The game I had in mind was a sort of mix between Postal 1 and Hotline Miami, mostly because I felt like they both did a really good job at being really replayable and addictive arcade games. I don't have that much skill with time management so I knew from the get-go I couldn't make that much content for the game anyways. A lot of design decisions also were taken from Nuclear Throne as inspiration because that game honestly rocks as a GM:S game.
For some ungodly reason, us humans are bad at giving names to thing because of circumstances so from now on this project will be reffered to as "Quirky Robot Game" or "Game 3" because I am very creative. Expect a demo soon!
